Guided tours open to the public
Discover the Permanent Collection, the Open Garage, and the Temporary Exhibitions with our guided tours: a calendar full of events not to be missed.
Visit duration: 60 minutes. Groups are made up of a maximum of 26 people. The guided tours offered are suitable for individuals and families with children aged 3 and up. Children under 6 years old do not pay for the visit.

An itinerary that takes place in time and space: the Museum’s collection is the starting point for a multi-sensory exploration that allows visitors to discover how transport have changed over time in relation to the transformations of the world around us .
OpenGarage
MAUTO Restoration Center organizes guided tours of the “hidden” collection of the Museum in the Open Garage, where around seventy wonderful cars are kept which are subjected to restoration and conservation interventions.
The spaces of the Open Garage are not accessible to people with mobility difficulties.
Open Garage with the MAUTO Conservator
Accompanied by the MAUTO Conservator, an exclusive guided tour of the “hidden” collection of the Museum in the Open Garage, where around seventy wonderful cars are kept which are undergoing restoration and conservation work here.
The spaces of the Open Garage are not accessible to people with mobility difficulties.
TEMPORARY EXHIBITIONS
Every 6 months a large temporary exhibition, to delve deeper into the world of the automobile in all its facets. Design, Motorsport, manufacturers and drivers, but also reflections on the mobility of the future.
- FAMILIES
FAMILY ACTIVITIES
MAUTO, in collaboration with ARTECO, offers various opportunities for meeting, leisure and learning aimed at families with children aged 3 to 12.
Visit duration: 90 minutes. Groups are made up of a maximum of 18 children. Only one companion is allowed for each child. Meet in the lobby; it is recommended to arrive 10 minutes before the start of the activity.
From the workshop to the atelier
An exploration of the Museum and the evolution of vehicles through the visions of artists, creatives and designers who, from the beginning of the twentieth century to today, have found their sources of inspiration in the car, the road and travel.
An opportunity, for adults and children, to look at the world with different eyes, express themselves, compare and test themselves.
The story from the window
How was the automobile born and how has it changed over the various eras? Let’s try to discover it together by traveling through history. Children and adults are accompanied on a journey made up of suggestions that will involve different materials: an interactive visit in which to observe, touch and think.
Idea, machine, revolution
Starting from the futuristic spring-driven “car” designed by Leonardo da Vinci, adults and children have the opportunity to meet characters who throughout history have combined technique and creativity in an innovative way. We will move through drawings, stories, cities and incredible machines.

An opportunity, for adults and children, to look at the world with different eyes, express themselves, compare and test themselves.
Visits for small groups must be booked at least a week in advance to allow the MAUTO staff to welcome you as best as possible.

The cost of the guided tour is to be added to the entrance ticket for each participant according to rates. Groups can consist of a maximum of 26 people. Meet in the ticket office lobby; it is recommended to arrive 10 minutes before the start of the activity.

ACTIVITIES FOR SCHOOLS
The Museum offers a rich program of educational activities designed specifically for schools of all levels, with the aim of spreading the culture of the automobile, from its origins to the mobility of the future. These activities stimulate deep reflection on the evolution of our society and the challenges that await us. The main objective is to promote cultural heritage education as an opportunity to meet and activate processes of participation, active citizenship and social inclusion.
The program includes not only interactive workshops, but also traditional guided tours and interactive guided tours that offer in-depth micro-activities along the exhibition itinerary. Each educational path is carefully structured to respond to the study topics and can be further customized upon request of the teachers and groups of students.
